Amara Nwankpa is a civic technology and public policy expert with a passion for evidence-driven policy development and effective governance. He has over 12 years of experience in leading, developing, and contributing to public policy on climate, elections, energy, security, governance, and accountability in Africa. Amara led the Foundation’s Public Policy Initiative from 2014 to 2024.

As Director, Partnerships and Development, Amara plays a vital role in driving the Foundation’s strategic growth by engaging key stakeholders, enhancing collaboration, and developing sustainable strategies that align with the Foundation’s mission and vision.

Amara holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana.
