Rashidat Sanusi manages the Environmental Sustainability and Resilience Programme at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Foundation. She leads initiatives that advance climate action, environmental governance, and a just energy transition in Nigeria. Her work focuses on strengthening institutions, supporting policy processes, advancing public participation in climate action and fostering sustainable development in Nigeria.
Her work has contributed to national climate policy processes in Nigeria, including efforts that informed Nigeria’s climate commitments and energy transition agenda. She has experience coordinating and managing high-level dialogues, research initiatives, stakeholder engagements, and capacity-building programmes that promote evidence-based decision-making, as well as strengthening collaboration across sectors.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Ibadan, and a Master’s degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
