Amara Nwankpa is a civic technology and a public policy expert with a passion for evidence-driven policy development and effective governance. He has led the Foundation’s Public Policy Initiative since 2014 and has over 12 years’ experience in leading, developing and contributing to public policy on climate, elections, energy, security, governance and accountability in Africa.

Amara has key expertise in national and sub-national stakeholder engagement and linking multi-level policy and programmatic objectives within a variety of institutional and governance contexts. He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana.
